Ear Trauma

Happy Thanksgiving. What a wonderful time to ponder all the blessings we have in our lives. We had a lovely time with Doug's parents this weekend in NY. They watched Paige so I could nap (a blessing in and of itself). Doug's mother is a wonderful cook and kept our bellies happy the whole weekend.

On the sadder side of things... Paige has a severely infected lymph node on her bad ear. It began swelling over a week ago and hasn't subsided. We go to the pediatrician again today... likely she will be referred to a surgeon for drainage. I'm bothered that we have to wait so long to get it taken care of. It looks awful and makes it hard for Paige to function normally. She is a trooper, though and rarely cries about it. Here is a photo for you.
