Our Pre-Approval

Oh Joy! Our pre-approval came from China today for our sweet Claire. This means that China has reviewed our file and found that we can be matched with Lin Jia Ni. We now wait for China to complete a translation of our portfolio (called a dossier) and match us together legally. This will likely take 2-3 months. Then we await our TA (travel approval). We have two to five weeks from receiving our travel approval to going to pick up our daughter.

What a relief. Since the last adoption fell through I have been so anxious and somewhat apprehensive about this adoption. What a blessing that the ball is now rolling. Things are going the way they should. Relief!

We all kiss Claire's photo every night. We put up her bed frame in Paige's room and plan to put Paige's matching frame up today. We're going to Costco in about an hour to pick up mattresses. I've been so nervous to move forward with decorating due to the confusion over the past few weeks but now I feel confident that things will work out the way they should.
