Apple picking

As you can see from our new headline photo, we went apple picking this past weekend. Actually, our family has been apple picking THREE times this fall. It's been an extended family tradition for the past three years to apple pick at Allenholm Orchards on the islands of Vermont. Then we come home and Doug's family helps us prepare and freeze loads of pies so we can enjoy the apples all year round.

Family pics from: '07, '08, '09- we keep adding a child every year... hmm...

Me and My #1 Girl

I just love the fall. The colors, smells, foods, sweatshirt weather... I love it all. I am so happy to spend another fall in Vermont. It's so picturesque I can hardly even fathom it all. I look at the scenery and think: "THIS IS SO CRAZY BEAUTIFUL!" If you ever get a chance to come here... COME! And come over Columbus Day weekend. That seems to always be the time when the colors are at their peak.

Oh to live in New England...I'm so jealous. Those girls--how do you just not squeeze them to pieces? Those faces are just ripe for squishing. :) They are little punkins. Miss u!

I love the pictures, but you could have cropped out the old guy with the beard ;-) I see several of the others who commented miss VT, I wonder if they will feel differently when the snow starts to fly? Give all the girls a hug for me, I will see you all at Thanksgiving.
