WE ARE STINKING DONE WITH THE US GOVERNMENT'S PORTION
OF OUR PAPERWORK IN THE USA.
Can you say, "Hallelujah!?!?"
Oh man, I swear, this part of the process has caused me to age about 5 years. Since yesterday and today I have been on the phone ON HOLD for about 3 hours total. NOT a toll free #, I might add. Luckily we have all inclusive long distance.
On Thursday our adoption agency's contact in Guangzhou, China will go to the US Embassy and drop off all the additional paperwork/fees associated with our son's visa stuff.
THEN, on December 16th, that same agency contact will return to the US Embassy and pick up a paper called the Article 5. They will then overnight that paper to another agent in Beijing who will hand deliver the paper to the CCAA (AKA: Chinese government). Once they have that paper, they are free to issue our coveted TA... this comes anywhere from 2-4 weeks after the Article 5 is delivered.
We are hoping for word around the Christmas holiday. Of course, that's a little far fetched... but a girl can hope, right??

Sorry this has been so long and difficult. At least there is a little comfort in the fact that you are getting closer to the end. Soon Seth will be in your loving arms.
Your getting close now!!!
What a gift under the tree that would be! An invitation to bring that sweet boy home! Can't wait!
