It's a cold January

Our first family visit to Stonehenge.  It was a freezing cold day.  We have a pass to many of the English heritage sights so we were able to bypass the lines of tourists and get right in.

Everyone told me that Stonehenge isn't quite as exciting as you would think.  It's just in a field.  It's just like what you see on TV.  Well, I thought it was AMAZING.  Seeing the stones up close really took my breath away and made me insanely curious to know more about how in the world it all came about.

Later that day we decided to take a trip to what I thought was a McDonalds play place in Glastonbury... just 2 hours from our house.  Long story short, the playplace is in Gastonbury, CONNECTICUT!  Argh.... Oh well....  the drive was amazing.  We passed amazing churches like the one below and towns build of stone.

Glastonbury is known for a 14th century Tor.  Whatever a "Tor" is....  Tour, maybe?  It was something to do with the King Arthur Legend.  We started the big walk to the Tor, but it was really muddy, so we only got this close.

Even though we only went part way, the kids were beat on the way back down to town.
So, in the hustle and bustle of Christmas, Doug and I forgot to give Seth and Erin their scooters.  We broke them out after Christmas and went to our neighborhood park to play.

So that's what we've been up to: PLAYING.

WAITING for the weather to get nice so we can take more weekend trips.

MISSING all our family and friends.

BUILDING friendships and a snowman!  Yes, it snowed last week!

What an amazing time you are having! Though I wish you were as close as Connecticut! We miss you. We were just discussing Martone's the other night, and at Christmas were remembering when Doug & Dan illegally chopped that tree out of our backyard and we used it for Christmas.

We're saving up! We hope to visit you sometime before we're all grey haired...
