Siblings

Fighting, Pushing, Tattling, Yelling.
Annoying, dominating, subserving, smelling.

Mom tells us to get along
She gets us all to sing a song
She makes us work side by side
She makes us swallow all our pride.

Why does that Mama watch from the door?
Why does she watch while we clean the floor?
Why does she smile when we disagree?
Why is she always staring at me?

Mom knows that time rolls on-.
Mom knows that youth will soon be gone.
She knows that when you all grow up
She may not be around to pick you up.

She knows that there are special friendships made-
Among your siblings which cannot fade.
Moms and Dads are important, it's true-
But when they're old and gone, it's only YOU.

Those hands you grab while you now play-
Will be the hands that will always stay.
So that's why you see Mom stare.
She loves the bond that she sees growing there.

Thanks so much for the pics. The kids are getting so big. I love all the fun that they are having. I love your poem, Suzie. It brought a tear to my eye - and I know exactly what you mean. Paige, Claire, Seth and Erin are very blessed to have parents like you and Doug. Thanks for doing such an amazing job!!
Love, Gma
