My Japanese Maple

This is my view today.
The snow is coming down and it seems as though everything I view is in black and white.

I have spent many days viewing my backyard this winter. Due to the baby, I'm not venturing out as much as I have in the past. I look outside almost every day at my Japanese maple (pictured above). Each time I think of how beautiful this tree is in the fall...

Though it's been a dreary winter, I remember how great it is that we have memories of more beautiful times. I think these memories are a blessing we should never take for granted.

Lately I've been going through the mental images of my newest baby and my dear Grandmother. Both my littlest one and my Grandma Davis have so many things in common these days- both are having to rely on others for their basic needs. While my little one is growing so quickly, my Grandma is preparing to go to her Heavenly home just as quickly. How interesting it is... the circle of life. I'm so grateful for my memories.

What a sweet picture of the girls with Grandma! She looks so happy! Grandma's whole face lights up when she smiles, doesn't it?

Beautiful little Erin! What a doll! My heart goes out to you, Suzie about your Grandmother. That's a bittersweet circle of life.
