The Jurrasic Coast

We had a great day yesterday.  My new friend Lorna and her family invited us along to Charmouth.  It's a coastal town known for the Jurrasic Coastline... full, I mean FULL of fossils.   A dinosaur was found there a few years ago.  The coast is full or oily mud which dissolves leaving fossils behind.

Our friends have two fantastic children, Noah and Scarlett.  Scarlett is in Erin's class.  They are best friends.  It's so great that Erin has found such a sweet, kind friend.

The black things behind Erin aren't stones, they're crazy compacted mud deposits from millions of years ago.  It's amazing.  We could see the erosion happening while we were there.  The erosion is what produces the fossils.
