Michael C. James... again

Remember this post? Michael C. James

Ah... he has returned to my life during the processing of yet ANOTHER government form.  I know from many other families who have recently received their I-800 (not to be confused with the I-800A) clearance, that approvals are being made about 2 weeks after mailing the application.

Our application was sent on 11/4, received 11/5.  Now, I understand that the forms are mailed to a "lockbox" in Texas.  What the "lockbox" is, I have no earthly idea.  Then it is forwarded to Missouri, yes Missouri... again... why??  I don't know.  Michael C. James is in Missouri.  He claims that is takes 14 business days to receive the application...

I emailed last week and again this week to see if they had received the application.  I even called this morning and spoke with "Officer Gray" whose name exudes her personality.  She told me in a split second that our application has not been received.  I'm wondering how she can know so quickly.  I'm sure she did not in 2 seconds time look us up on the computer....

Oh and did I mention that once it DOES get approved, Michael C. James in Missouri mails it to New Hampshire.  It is in NH that they scan/email the approval to the US Consulate in Guangzhou.  When it gets to Guangzhou (southern China) and is entered into their system, a representative from our agency has to go to the Consulate, pick up the paper and mail it to the Chinese government in Beijing (nothern China).  China has to have this document before they can send our Travel Approval.  Once we have the coveted TA we await a CA (consulate appointment with the US consulate in Guangzhou), we can make plans for travel.

Please pray for my sanity.

Ahhh the lovely governments inefficiency. Sounds very similar to many of the Navy's procedures .... like lets say for getting paid! Makes no common sense to even the most unintelligent person. I can only imagine how frustrating this is for your guys! It makes dealing with little children seem easy as compared to dealing with the adults.

HAHAHAHAHA! Doug, too funny! Ok, none of this makes sense but your forgetting one very important detail...it doesn't matter what the paper chase says it's all in perfect timing! I know, I know, that doesn't make the wait easier but step back just a tiny bit Suz! You're looking too close and it's going to eat you up! Seth is coming and at just the right moment!!!!! xoxoxoxxoo
Love from KY!!
